About Alderwood Heat & Cool Pros in Lynnwood, WA
A 24/7 heating and cooling line for Lynnwood and south Snohomish County, and a plain explanation of who actually does the work.
- Answering 24/7
- L&I-registered & insured
- Price before work
Alderwood Heat & Cool Pros exists for one moment: the furnace has stopped, the house is cooling off, and you need someone who will answer and send help. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, dispatch an HVAC contractor who is registered with Washington L&I and insured, and make sure you hear the price before any work starts.
Who does the work
We want to be clear about this. Alderwood Heat & Cool Pros connects you with independent, L&I-registered HVAC contractors who perform the work. We are the line you call and the people who route your job; the contractor who arrives is an independent business that carries its own registration, bond and insurance and performs the repair or installation. We don’t publish license numbers on this site, and the brand itself does not claim to be a contractor. Ask the contractor at your door for their L&I registration number and check it yourself in the Washington L&I contractor lookup.
How contractors are checked
Washington doesn’t issue a single “HVAC license”. The state requires construction contractors to register with the Department of Labor & Industries, and the work itself pulls in other credentials. Before a contractor takes calls from us, we look for:
- An active Washington L&I contractor registration, checked in the state's public lookup
- The bond and insurance that registration requires
- Electrical certification for the technicians doing the electrical side of HVAC work
- EPA Section 608 certification for anyone handling refrigerant
Registrations lapse and insurance renews, so the lookup is worth repeating, and permits for furnace and heat pump replacements are pulled by the installing contractor through the City of Lynnwood or Snohomish County, depending on where the home sits.
How 24/7 dispatch works
When you call (321) 478-0693, a person takes your address, the symptom, the type of system and whether anyone in the house is especially vulnerable to cold or heat. Those calls go first. We send the nearest available contractor and give you an honest arrival window, because a January ice storm or a June heat wave changes how fast anyone can get around Lynnwood. On site, the contractor diagnoses the problem and gives you the price; you approve it before work begins, and the system is tested before anyone leaves.
Gas smells and carbon monoxide alarms are the exception to “call us first”. Leave the house, call 911 and Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773 from outside, and call us once the home has been cleared.

Why a Lynnwood-specific line
The calls here have a pattern. Homes built around 1979 with furnaces on their second or third replacement, no air conditioning from the builder, condos on baseboard heat along Highway 99, heat pumps in the new townhomes by the light rail station, and a long damp heating season that is hard on condensate drains. Knowing that pattern is how a call gets routed to the right contractor with the right parts. Read more on the furnace repair and heat pump repair pages, or see the cities we cover around Lynnwood.
Where we work
Lynnwood is the hub: every street in the city, plus the unincorporated neighborhoods that share its mailing addresses, including Alderwood Manor, Martha Lake and North Lynnwood, and Meadowdale and Brier on the edges. From there the ring runs about 25 minutes in each direction. Each city has its own page covering its housing, utilities and permit office:
- HVAC in Edmonds, WAFurnace replacement and added cooling for 1960s to 1980s homes, from the Bowl to Five Corners.
- HVAC in Mountlake Terrace, WADuctless heat pumps, furnace repair and right-sized change-outs for compact postwar homes, from Lake Ballinger to Cascade View.
- HVAC in Bothell, WAFurnace, heat pump and AC service from Canyon Park to downtown Bothell, on both sides of the county line.
- HVAC in Mill Creek, WAFurnace replacement and AC or heat pump add-ons for ducted 1980s to 2000s homes across Mill Creek.
- HVAC in Mukilteo, WAFurnace, heat pump and AC repair for Harbour Pointe and Old Town homes, with salt-air wear in mind.
Everett, Shoreline and the Kitsap side of the Sound are outside that ring for now. We would rather do six cities well than promise a county we can’t reach quickly. The service area overview lists drive times, utilities and permit offices city by city.
What you can count on
Answered 24/7
A person picks up at any hour, every day of the year. Heating fails on January nights and air conditioning fails on the hottest afternoon, so the phone never goes to voicemail.
Registered and insured
Every HVAC contractor we send is registered with Washington L&I, licensed where Washington requires it, and insured.
Price before work
Every job starts with a diagnosis and a price. Nothing is replaced until you say yes, and after-hours rates are explained before anyone starts.
Our service commitment
We’ll tell you when a problem can safely wait until morning so you avoid an after-hours rate, when a repair makes more sense than a replacement, and when a system really has reached the end of its life. Reviews will appear on this site once real customers have left them; until then, we would rather earn trust on the phone than borrow it.
